DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN A CHANGING WORLD
The Velcourt Group has been a familiar and trusted presence in the UK agricultural industry for over half a century. Forming landowner partnerships and farming the land like it’s our own, our hands-on experience is just as valued as our business acumen.

1967
Velcourt is founded in the West Country by farmer Robin Malim and three associates. Their vision was to put their expertise to managing farming enterprises for landowners.
MID 70s

As large institutions acquired agricultural land, Velcourt saw an opportunity to form more farm management partnerships.

LATE 70s

Velcourt began to develop technical alliances abroad: the very beginning of our International services and our unique R&D department, both of which continue to the present day.
1980s

As many institutional investors sought to exit agriculture, Velcourt acquired land and sought buyers who wanted management services provided. By the end of the decade, Velcourt directly managed over 7,500 hectares.

1990s

A period of expansion and innovation for Velcourt. We took on an ambitious Management Training Scheme, lots of trials work and our first dairy enterprise. By 1995, we managed over 20,000 hectares.
EARLY
2000s

After the turn of the century the dairy operation increase significantly, and managed farmland grew to over 90,000ha.

2020s

A time of considered growth and strengthening of our offer, building on our services with the addition of Bronwin & Abbey and Oakbank.
